Is it really impossible? Sudhir Chadda explores how President Obama can turn the tide around and win the heart of America again.

Where did it go wrong? One of the most popular Presidents today faces a total rout in the House and perhaps somewhat in the Senate. Can the Democrats really win?

The answer lies with the attitude of the Democrat career politicians. America is hungry for justice of the common people without sacrificing the core value system.

Here are some of the steps the Democrats and President Obama can take to win back America and keep the Republicans guessing again:

1. Win back the independent thinking Democrats who are planning to stay home. It is necessary to start talking about the common people of America and their problems. Take an example. President Obama says America can compete in jobs with China and India. That is not what common people in America want to hear because even the fifth grader knows it is impossible to win anything in an unfair game. What people want to hear is how the outsourced jobs will be brought back home by forcing India and China to revaluate their currency. Immigration is another hot cake. Illegal immigration is a popular topic but the real problem lies with the companies that ship jobs abroad. It is not enough to provide a tax break for companies that will hire employees in America. Something far more drastic is needed. For example a total moratorium on outsourcing of well paying jobs for three to five years. A tax holiday for corporations that bring back all jobs to America.

2. Job training does not work. It just converts unemployment to underemployment. Colleges are looting money in the name of providing some degrees that are losing their intrinsic values. What is needed is to teach people how to start their own little business that export into countries like China, Europe, South and Central America. Common people in America are skillful. The average intelligence is higher than the rest of the world. There is no reason why the Government cannot take a leadership role in helping people to become export-oriented entrepreneurs. Government can offer a tax holiday for those start their export oriented business for five years.
