Americans knew ISI paid Taliban to kill Indians in Kabul - what did they do about it? Give more aid to pakistan?
It is sad that America under Obama Administration continued to provide aid to Pakistan while it knew very well that ISI offered Taliban groups $15,000 to $30,000 to kill Indian contractors in Afghanistan.
India has long believed Pakistan was the puppet-master behind the series of attacks on Indian assets in Afghanistan in recent years. Among the 91,000 secret US documents released by the website Wikileaks in its Afghan War Diary are reports that substantiate these claims. The attack on the Indian Embassy in Kabul on July 7, 2008, the war logs confirm had been conceived months in advance and executed at the behest of the ISI.
On November 18, 2007, US intelligence submitted one report categorized under ‘Attack Threat’ indicating this possibility. That reports read: “ISI gave order to Sarkateep to establish relations with some Afghans and to conduct attacks against Indian Consulships in Jalalabad, Kabul, Herat, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif.”
On July 7, 2008, a suicide bomber attacked the Indian Embassy in Kabul killing 41 persons including two Indians diplomats, Political Counsellor V Venkateswara Rao and Defence Advisor Brigadier Ravi Datt Mehta. Two Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel were also killed in that attack.
Why did America provide aid to terror sponsor Pakistan? How can you fight terror while funding terrorists Pakistan?
Pakistan is the epicenter of terrorism. Why did America not fight terror by making Pakistan obey international norms and unassemble its terror network ISI?
One leaked document suggests there was prior warning from Polish intelligence on July 1 about such a strike being carried out. The report titled ‘Threat to Indian Embassy’ points out that the Taliban Center was planning such an attack. It said that the “Taliban are planning to carry out an attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul.” It also said that an engineer had been “designated” for this purpose. A budget of $ 120,000 was kept for this operation.
There has been a range of other attacks on Indian assets including one on February 26 this year in Kabul on two guest houses used by the Indian Government. These documents appear to substantiate India’s charge, often backed by Afghan intelligence, that these were planned and directed from Islamabad.
Why did America tolerate that?
President Obama please answer why America after knowing all these provided fresh aids to terrorist Pakistan?
