Nepal's King Gyanendra is finally coming to his sense. The Government released former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress Party President Girija Prasad Koirala from house arrest, a government official told Deutsche Presse-Agentur. Officials from the Indian Embassy in Nepal said they welcomed the development.

Meeting with foreign leaders and emissaries from countries like China and Pakistan made the monarchy realize that it cannot use international and people’s demand for democracy. Pakistan is ready to provide military assistance to Nepal but King Gyanendra is skeptical in asking for such help from Pakistan or China.

The people of Nepal are finally winning big time. The democracy for the first time in the last few months has started getting back in gear!

Expatriate Nepali population all over the world is upset with the King’s decision. They want to get their constitutional rights back!
