In spite of opposition from common people in Europe, Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is now all set as the first President of the EU

Blair is guaranteed to be nominated by EU leaders as the first President in Brussels if, as expected, Ireland backs the hated Lisbon Treaty in tomorrow's referendum.

According to media reports, ''Yes'' vote will all move very, very quickly. Tony could be named by the end of October.

The leaders of the EU's 27 nations will choose the president. A recent poll in EU countries found that common people in EU nations strongly oppose Tony Blair. But it will their head of states that will put Mr. Blair as the first EU President. Blair would not formally take up the powerful position until all EU countries ratify the treaty.
