The Kashmir Assembly has become a circus. The clowns are snatching the mike from the speaker hoping the world is not watching.

In a dramatic scene, the state assembly in Kashmir today witnessed an a typical clash of egos between the Speaker of the assembly and the leader of opposition and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mehbooba Mufti with Mufti making an effort to dislodge the speaker’s mike after the speaker M Akbar Lone ordered the watch and ward staff to push her, and other PDP members, out of the house.

Mehbooba Mufti and PDP should be allowed to express their opinion. The manner they express their opinion show the kind of people they represent.

Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today termed the behaviour of the leader of opposition Mehbooba Mufti and the MLAs from PDP, as “irresponsible”, and “undemocratic” saying such a behaviour is not “going to win them elections.”
