One was a dictator of Pakistan who abused all respect for human rights in the world. The other was a sneaky authoritarian President of America that lied openly in a so called democratic forum to attack and subordinate an independent nation called Iraq. Both were thrown out of power by their respective countries although one can argue ‘they left after their terms were over.’ Both men ruined their respective nations. Musharraf ruined Pakistan’s image of a legitimate nation. Bush ruined American economy and the sense of self-respect. One hides in the posh neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. The other just started hiding in United Kingdom. No one knows how much money Bush has. One can only guess that Musharraf has billions of dollars flushed out in Swiss banks that can carry him through for generations.

No one can touch George Bush. President Obama provides the cover for the ex US President. But Musharraf now is in real trouble. Pakistani courts wants to try him. Bush has to hide from public till American economy turns around and Obama fails as President which may never happen. Musharraf hides in the dark isles of London with a hope that British authorities will not extradite the human rights abuser.

Musharraf, who had consulted legal experts to represent him in the Supreme Court in his defense in Pakistan, has made a sudden one hundred eighty degree turn to defer his return to Pakistan, fuelling speculation whether he would come back to the country to face trial.

The situation for Bush is rosier as Democrats do not dare touch the sneaky ex President of America who lied to public again and again. But both have to face the humanity one day.
