Jun. 29, 2009

Bush’s crazy nightmare finally comes to an end. US troops are pulling out of Baghdad and other major cities ending the most controversial occupation of a foreign land by any foreign force since the Second World War.
The Iraqis are jubilant. They are finally getting their country back from the foreign occupation forces. The American troops are finally pulling out. The jubilation among Iraqis is conspicuous in the hope that foreign military occupation is ending six years after the invasion to depose Saddam Hussein.
’We do not want Saddam. We do not want Bush!” Chanted most common Iraqis. Iraq is fed up with the American right wing neo cons telling them how to live their lives.
Addressing military leaders in Baghdad, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said: "Our sovereignty has started and ... we should move forward to build a modern state and enjoy security which has been achieved."
The Iraqi government has declared June 30 as a national holiday, "National Sovereignty Day."
