India is worried about the deep downturn in the outsourcing industry. According to Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma, India has plans to convene a meeting of key world trade ministers in September to capitalise on new momentum in global commerce talks.
In his address at the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) ministerial meeting in Paris, Sharma stated India has been striving to create a rule based multilateral trading system.
Sharma met with WTO Director General Pascal Lamy, Unites States Trade Representative Ron Kirk, European Union Trade Commissioner Baroness Catherine Ashton, Canadian Trade Minister Stockwell, South African Trade Minister Rob Davies.
