US National Security Advisor General James Jones in difficult situation as India gets irritated over Kashmir remarks – how will Hillary Clinton react?

US National Security Advisor General James Jones is in deep difficult situation. America wants to keep Pakistan an ally against terror. Pakistan wants America’s help in getting hold of Kashmir. India is adamant on making America understant that America has no business in resolving anything in Kashmir.

US would help India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue : US National Security Advisor General James Jones said in Pakistan. It is an insult to India and the world communities that face terrorism from religious fundamentalists.

Jones, who arrived here from Islamabad on Thursday evening, began his day calling on Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and later held delegation-level talks with his counterpart M K Narayanan at Hyderabad House. He later met Defence Minister A K Antony, Foreign Secretary S Menon and Indian parliamentarians. It was not clear whether he took up the Kashmir issue with Indian leaders. Sources, however, here said, India raked up the issue of Pakistan's failure to act against the terror groups. His visit was also aimed to prepare a ground and agenda for the proposed visit of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to India next month.
