Rahul Gandhi is wrong, in Kandahar, NDA succeeded, in Mumbai, UPA failed because of Congress party’s lack of terrorism strategies

Apr. 19, 2009

It is easy to fail and talk big. That is the case with India’s self proclaimed crown prince Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul says "The people who are talking about terrorism themselves bowed before terrorists and released two of their associates, who were later responsible for the terror attacks in Mumbai," Rahul said, addressing an election rally in the temple town. In contrast, UPA Government acted decisively in tackling the Mumbai attacks and exerted intense diplomatic pressure on Pakistan putting onus on that country for the terror mechanism operating from its soil.”

Rahul is wrong. In Kandahar episode, NDA had no choice. Some innocent Indians were held at gunpoint in a Taliban surrounded Afghan airfield. Here were two choices. First, let those Indians die like what Congress allowed to happen in Mumbai. Second, release the terrorists and track them down later saving the lives of innocent Indians including children and women. NDA decided to select the second one. NDA’s one of the top most politicians risked his own life to go to Kadahar with the two terrorists and get the innocent Indians released.

India was never under terror blasts those days. India used to fight terror on the foreign grounds not in Mumbai killing people in every street of India.

Fact of the matter is that Congress party did nothing to control terrorism. They made friendship with America (especially George Bush) who pumped $10 billion in Musharraf’s underpants to allow support for terrorism in India soil. 11/26 is the manifestation of that. The Congress party never had any strategy against terrorism. All they were after was centered on brainwashing the common Muslim people and get their votes.
