Stimulus money getting wasted - NIH under Obama handing over billions to incompetent professors to allow more foreign workers

It is an example of how stimulus money is getting wasted - NIH under Obama is handing over billions of dollars to incompetent professors in US Universities to allow more foreign workers. There is no provision to hire American scholars and American workers.

Obama Administration must answer this one. No one did any reaserach on how delivering billions of dollars to incompetent University professors (who allready enjoy ‘very little work but good paid tenured jobs’) would create more jobs for the common people in America. These professors are good for nothing. They exploit foreign nationals because of their temporary alien status. They hire alien graduate students in F1 visa in science and engineering schools. They employ foreign nationals as post doctorate researchers, and then waste money relentlessly. The word is – “how many publications do you have?” If you look at these carefully, you will find, they employed these alien scholars for far less than the minimum wages, made them do some work day and night, and get zillion papaers published in their own name. These good for nothing university professors have rarely any patents that records real inventions. If they have patents, these are primarily academic patents with no use in the real world.

Obama Adminsitration and US Congress should have given this money to small businesses in US to employ US citizens. Instead they are handing over billions of dollars to university professors that would hire alines from other countries, bring them into US and make them do some useless reaserch.

The focus should have been creation of jobs for people who are losing jobs – not funding already incompetent science and engineering research communities in Universities. This is a real waste of money when people in the main street are losing their jobs, homes are getting foreclosed, and people are dying without medical care. Here is the detail how NIH is wasting taxpaers’ money under the guidance of the Obama Adminsitration:
1. The NIH Office of Extramural Research has just posted information about an RFA for the Challenge Grants in Health and Science Research being made available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the stimulus bill).

2. NIH has released 3 RFAs for research facilities, core facilities, and equipment. No match is required of any of these grants. Details are below:

(research facilities: $2M-15M) This FOA issued by the National Center for Research Resources, National Institutes of Health, solicits applications from institutions that propose to expand, remodel, renovate, or alter biomedical or behavioral research facilities. The major objective of this FOA is to facilitate and enhance the conduct of Public Health Service-supported biomedical and behavioral research by supporting the costs of improving non-Federal basic research, clinical research, and animal facilities to meet the biomedical or behavioral research, research training, or research support needs of an institution. It is expected that all awards will be expended expeditiously and that applicants will consider green/sustainable technologies and design approaches.
