After wrecking Citi Rubin now gets ready to wreck America - wants to devote more time to public policy issues

Robert Rubin leaves Citigroup after a controversial decade on its board. He was responisble for the dramatic developments mark the end of an era for Citi, which has been rocked by more than $50bn in mortgage-related losses during the financial crisis.

After wrecking Citi Rubin now gets ready to wreck America. Mr Rubin, who ran Goldman Sachs before serving as Treasury Secretary in the Clinton administration, wanted to devote more time to public policy issues. Simply put, after wrecking Citi, creating the dor com bubble, he is now ready to create next round of havoc on the American financial system.

Mr Rubin, who has earned $122 million since joining Citi in 1999, has become a lightning rod for criticism at the bank. His critics accused him of lack of oversight as Citi bet heavily on assets backed by subprime mortgages
