In exchange of the F16s can Pakistan deliver Osama Bin Laden guarded by 50-armed men in South Waziristan?
Sudhir Chadda
Mar. 26, 2005

According to Pakistan’s Pakistan's top commander in the tribal region near the country's northwestern border with Afghanistan, Osama bin Laden's security detail consists of close to 50-armed men. Lt. Gen. Safdar Hussain said Pakistan Army is determined to capture Osama this time after 48 failed attempts in the South Waziristan agency of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

Can Pakistan really deliver Osama? They got their F16s all right bluffing Bush Administration till today. They did not deliver the menace they created themselves – Al-Queda and Taliban. According to sources Pakistan will continue to show their intention to capture Al-Queda leadership and show that they just cannot do it. How many armed forces are needed to complete the combing of South Waziristan if they really know that 50 odd armed Jihadists protect Bin Laden?

Is it possible Pakistan is not trying to capture Bin Laden? Is it possible that Bin Laden is being protected by Musharraf’s ISI the covert operator of Pakistan?

Everything is possible. One thing is certain Pakistan got the best deal they can think of – F16s in exchange of a promise for Osama’s shadow!

Delivering Osama Bin Laden is never taken seriously in the Islamic world. But Pakistan‘s Lt. Gen. Safdar Hussain’s words that only 50 men protecting Osama Bin Laden has to taken seriously. If Pakistan cannot deliver Osama Bin Laden after all this, what would you conjecture?
