Israel to launch a ground attack with massive numbers of tanks on Gaza anytime

Dozens of tanks and armored personnel carriers were massing at different locations along the Gaza-Israel border.

Israel on Sunday called up 6,500 reserve soldiers as Defence Minister Ehud Barak warned that it could send in ground troops in addition to a mammoth air bombardment unleashed on Hamas-run Gaza on Saturday in retaliation for continuing rocket fire.

While Americans and Britons engage in a flurry of diplomatic activities, the UN called for an immediate stop in hostilities, neither Hamas nor Israel is eager to stop the carnage. The rockets are flowing into Israel. Israeli bombers are killing Palestinians including school children.

The Israeli air strikes have killed more than 280 Palestinians and wounded more than 1600 others in less than two days, according to medical authorities in Gaza.
