National Conference and Congress Party to form new coalition Government in Jammu and Kashmir

National Conference (NC) President Omar Abdullah will be the new Chief Minister.
Leaders of the NC and Congress have finalized initial agreements on the forging an alliance to form the new Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Omar said after getting the final results and the status of the single largest party, the NC would stake claim to form the government and "formally begin the process of talks (for forging alliance)".
The NC chief said the people of Jammu and Kashmir have voted for a coalition government and NC and Congress are the only two parties "which cannot sacrifice the interests of people for petty politics".
Major leaders in Jammu and Kashmir won - Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mufti Mohammad Sayed, Mehbooba Mufti and Ghulam Nabi Azad, all were winners.
