Satyam Computers blacklisted by World Bank – India outsourcing based on body shopping crumbling like a house of cards

Most of Indian IT outsourcing is based on body shopping and corrupted hourly billing procedures. In a statement issued on Tuesday, World Bank said: "Satyam was declared ineligible for contracts for providing improper benefits to Bank staff and for failing to maintain documentation to support fees charges for its sub-contractors."

This is typical of Indian IT outsourcing companies. The World Banks decision was effective from September this year. Earlier Satyam was temporarily suspended in February. It declared Satyam ineligible to receive direct contracts under its corporate procurement programme.

The development comes at a time when the company is facing massive hammering in its share price over its abortive USD 1.6 billion acquisition deal for two infrastructure firms - Maytas Infra and Maytas Properties.

India outsourcing based on body shopping is crumbling like a house of cards. The traders control these companies and run them like spice trading shops trading young Indian IT professionals like cyber slaves.
