How the terror operations finally failed?
Sudhir Chadda
Nov. 27, 2008

The purpose was to hijack ten centers all around in Mumbai, create American style ‘shock and awe’ like in Iraq, take five thousand hostages primarily Americans and Britons, and then claim America stop killing innocent families in Western Pakistan from missile strikes, release of Islamic militants in Indian, Israeli and American prisons, and a fast solution to Kashmir issue. They found it easy to bribe the Indian officials in Mumbai with Saudi oil money. They got all planned very well.

Something went wrong. The terrorists never understood that India would not respond to their initial demands and hand over the situation to Indian elite commando force NSG (National Security Guards).

They calculated it wrong. India simply acted naive and did not respond to any of the demands. People were terrified and resilient. The resiliency created the biggest problem to the terrorists. The gunmen especially the young SIMI (college students) wanted to end the ordeal quickly. The Pakistani military commodes gunned them down before escaping to Pakistan with help of bribed Indian officials.
