US Auto industry has ratcheted up its lobbying for a taxpayer-funded bail-out but the only hope for US to save them direct nationalization and complete trade protection

American auto industry – GM, Chrysler, and Ford are suffering and getting closer to bankruptcies because of wrong decisions by the companies and the American Government. US Auto industry has ratcheted up its lobbying for a taxpayer-funded bail-out. It will keep the nemesis of inefficieny and startegic mistakes for a while but eventually all will come to an end in total collapse.

America should natioonalize its staregic industrial base before it si too late. You cannot run these people run the manufactuiring base of the country given the fact they proved themselves as far less competent and far more arrogant than required.

The auto industry is linking a rescue to the US’s national security. Handing them some money will not solve the problem. The industrial manifactring complex especially something as large and as strategic as auto industry should be nationalized immediately.

If it is not done now, it will have to be done later anyway at a far higher price to the country’s budget deficit with millions of job losses and deep economic depr4ession that will dearf that of 1930s.

Auto industry needs complete relief from fianncial needs. The US Treasry should say – design the best cars, leave the fiscal matters on us. Like the Military, Police and the Justice system, American manufactiuring base needs nationalization and complete protection from foreign compitiioon.

Auto industry’s biggest problem is legacy cost of retirees and their health cost. Nationalization will also make unions understand that it is a Government entity and no private investors are making lots of money. That will spur the sense of sacrifice and patriotism. American auto industry does not need a hand out. It is good enough to compete and serve well under srong finance, protection from unfair foreign compition, and prident reserach and development.
