Muzaffarnagar court issues a non-bailable warrant against the Shahi Imam of Delhi Jama Masjid Syed Ahmad Bukhari

A Muzaffarnagar court on Saturday issued a non-bailable warrant against the Shahi Imam of Delhi Jama Masjid Syed Ahmad Bukhari for not appearing before it in a 2007 case related to violation of election code of conduct.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Renu Rao directed the police to produce Bukhari and UDF leader Sadir Ali in the court on November 22 after they failed to appear on Saturday.
On the direction of the Election Commission, police had registered a case against the two and party election in-charge Inam Qureshi for landing a helicopter without necessary permission at an election meeting in Khatoli town on April 10,2007, according to prosecution.
Bukhari was at the rally to canvass for Sadir Ali.
Inam Qureshi has already been arrested.
