BJP, India’s main opposition party is weighing its options against America while maintaining the promise of a solid relationship with the lone superpower of the world.

"If the NDA comes to power it will not hesitate to conduct a nuclear test if such a need arises," senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said.

"We will certainly re-negotiate it after going through the deal left by the UPA Government.

"The country is not going to get anything out of the nuclear deal. On the contrary, after its operationalisation, the country loses the right to conduct nuclear tests," he said.

Criticising Union ministers Lalu Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan, and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for openly extending support to the banned SIMI, Sinha said "Our party is not against Muslims, but against those who are supporting terrorist groups openly."
