First signs of tension over financial meltdown – US and UK spur over getting billions of dollars returned to Lehman's London operations from the firm's U.S. business

In a first sign of tension between UK and the US, British Government is demanding that billions of dollars be returned to Lehman's London operations from the firm's U.S. business.
The scenario is not very pleasant. UK PM Gordon Brown is adamant about spurring with US on the natter. It is unclear how the US officials are responding to straight forward UK demand.
