Buddha of Bengal adamant to become part of the free world but Indian communists does not get it
Did the Sun rise in the West for the first time ever? West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee publicly expressed his opinion against strikes. What a day for India and the world! For the first time these communists understand the benefits of the free market and unproductive it is to call for chaotic disruptions called strike.
But the hurrah was short lived. The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) politburo has eventually "punished" West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee for his adamant act of expressing his opinion against strike. Some say he is just following the Chinese style of abusing human rights of workers. Others say he is just an agent of Indian industrialists – the so-called notorious Indian oligarchs.
Any ways, the Buddha of Bengal by publicly censoring him for his opinion against strikes, said a party leader.
"The politburo has publicly censored Bhattacharjee Thursday for his comments against strikes. As per our party constitution, publicly censoring someone is a punishment and the party has given the punishment to him," Chakraborty, a politburo member, told media reporters.
