India headed for a political crisis as Indian President plans to allow Manmohan Government in power after no confidence defeat in Parliament
Sushma Pandit
Jul. 1, 2008

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday met President Pratibha Patil . The meeting lasted about 50 minutes. Pratibha Patil was hand picked by Sonia Gandhi. It is time to return the favor back to Sonia.

Pratibha Patil is ready to take commands from the Congress party. She may even invoke military power to control the Indian population if widespread unrest takes place after Manmohan Singh goes ahead with the nuclear deal.

A Rashtrapati Bhawan release said they discussed national and international developments and the forthcoming G-8 Summit in Japan next week, which the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend. But sources from New Delhi are signaling that Sonia Gandhi will use emergency measures to defer election indefinitely after implementing the nuclear deal with the Americans.

The Congress party did this once before. In late seventies Late PM Indira Gandhi invoked emergency measures and curbed Indian political freedom. India was plugged into a political nightmare. The history is going to repeat, it seems.

There is no way Congress party can win the next election. They will try and stay in power without any election for two or three years more till food prices can be checked and reversed.

In the mean time they will go ahead with the India-US nuclear deal.
