Congress party calls the communists insane on India-US nuke deal but who is going to account for $100 billion kickbacks from American companies
It sounds funny when corrupt institutions call others insane. Sonia Gandhi still in the state of denial with her Italian connection to the Bofors deal and its millions of dollars in kickback has started calling the India communists ‘psychiatric cases.’
India-US civilian nuclear deal will involve India paying American companies like GE and Westinghouse close to $100 billion for technology and parts related nuclear reactors. These companies already paid their dues to Bush Administration through political contributions. They control American politics. None one knows how much Sonia Gandhi received from these entities and how.
Why is Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi so adamant to sacrifice India’s nuclear freedom to George Bush and his neo con right wing Americans?
Congress on Saturday said the Communist parties are indulging in irrational and ‘absurd arguments’ on the Indo-US nuclear deal.
It is really that? Or is it the smell of dollars as kickbacks from the American corporations?
According to the Congress party, “If Russia and America, China and Pakistan and China and Russia are all busy signing civil nuclear deals, should India forego pursuing its interests? Obstructing the deal means that the nation's energy security and its ability to withstand future oil price shocks would be further reduced.”
The problem is that none of these countries have gone to America especially of all the people George Bush and negotiated a secret nuclear deal. PM Manmohan Singh failed to keep transparency in the process and eventually fell into the American trick of hiding the facts with Hyde Act.
It is a shame for a corrupt party like Congress to call others insane or absurd. Congress party leadership should have made the negotiations with the Americans in a transparent way knowing very well Bush Administration represents American corporations and not the American people.
