Shameless Maoists in Nepal start pleasing the Chinese at the cost of Tibetan Monks in India
Reena Gogoi
Jun. 13, 2008

Nepal’s new leader Parchanda who came to power by ousting the last Hindu Monarch from his palace, now has finally started exposing his under the rug Chinese relationship. He mad it clear he is pro-Chinese and does not care for the Tibetans.

Maoist-led government would discuss with India the open border, which enables Tibetan demonstrators to come to Kathmandu from Dharamsala, the Dalai Lamas base in India.

"We will not tolerate anti-China activities on our soil and we will take strong administrative measures to control these activities," he stressed.

The relationship between Parchnda and India has started going sour already. Secretly Nepalese Army is loking for Indian Army intervention to topple and oust the Maoists from the country who are controlled by the Chinese.

Parchanda has underlined his desire to follow a policy of ‘equidistance’ in relationship with giant neighbours India and China. Some say that is the first step before eventually naking Nepal a province of China.

He said the Maoist-led government would take "strong measures" against "anti-China activities" in Nepal where Tibetan activists have been staging protests regularly against Chinese rule in Tibet.
