Indian Home Minister should resign for the alleged dishonoring of women and beating of men in Shopian, Kashmir by Indian Federal police force
Chetan Cahuhan
Jun. 8, 2008

These are the kinds of incidence that the Congress Party of India is fully responsible for. They incite jihadi activities all over India in search of Muslim vote. When the signals from PM Manmohan Singh and Super PM Sonia Gandhi spill over into extremism, they unleash the federal police on the Muslims in Kashmir and elsewhere.

A magisterial inquiry has today been ordered by the deputy commissioner, Shopian into the alleged dishonoring of women and beating of men by the CRPF and SOG during a cordon and search operation here yesterday.

The people had taken to streets and held demonstrations against the alleged atrocities of CRPF and SOG.

The fault lies with the Congress Party of India. They have incited these people and then unleashed brutal force on them.

Kashmir is sensitive. Indian politicians must urge all Kashmiris to respect law and order within the allowable limits of Indian constitution. At the same time security forces that operate in Kashmir should respect people of Kashmir to the fullest extent.

The Home minister of India Mr. Patil should step down for the incident. That will be a clear signal that India will not tolerate atrocities from any one.

India’s opposition party BJP has said again and again that Kashmiri militants must be dealt with firm resolute. At the same time people of Kashmir should be respected fully.
