People in India are asking Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Congress Party led UPA to step down. BJP says "While the Prime Minister has its foot on the accelerator, the Left parties have their foot on the brakes while the steering is in the hands of the super PM. The UPA government is making the burden of the common man unbearable. In 2004 the revenue earnings from petroleum products was Rs 70,000 crore. In 2007-08 it has jumped to Rs 1,70,000 crore”
Under UPA leadership, prices of petrol, diesel have been increased eight times with the result that petrol prices have gone up to Rs 47 a liter from Rs 30.25 a litre in 2004 during NDA regime. The food prices have gone up three folds.
