PPP moves to disallow dissolving parliament and appointing the chiefs of the armed forces by Musharraf – Pakistani president ready to crush PPP

The ultimate fight between people of Pakistan and the Pakistani dictator Musharraf has finally started. The ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on Saturday unveiled a package of sweeping constitutional reforms. The reforms will curb the power of the military dictator of the nation.
Musharraf will not have the power to dissolve the parliament and appoint the chiefs of the armed forces.
Musharraf is moving very fast to defeat the desire of PPP. Musharraf plans to strengthen his base in ISI and Pakistani Military. In Pakistan, unlike in any real democracy, the military rules the nation. They have and can at any time topple the democratic government elected by the people of Pakistan.
Musharraf has told his allies in the Pakistani Parliament that PPP can devise any means to restrict him, it will be the Pakistani military who will determine the constitution of Pakistan.
The fact that Musharraf survived with silent backing of US, actually shut the door of real democracy in Pakistan. Democracy in Pakistan is fragile and has been breached by the Military innumerable times in the past.
What may start now is the continuation of struggle between democratic forces in Pakistan and Musharraf. Musharraf will not give up just like that. He will fight to survive till Pakistani Military or some sort of a larger external force removes him once forever.
