Fiscal mismanagement of Manmohan Singh and Chidambaram – Indian inflation gets out of control
Kiran Chaube
Apr. 25, 2008

Inflation in India and China has gone out of control. Indian inflation is rooted in the fiscal mismanagement of Indian PM Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Chidambaram.

Inflation rate grew by a faster 7.33 per cent in the week ended April 12 from 7.14 per cent in the previous week. It is broad base advance in all commodities. The wage inflation is even faster than commodity inflation.

The Government is in a panic mode as does not know what to do. China has put artificial price control only to create shortages in the markets place. India is slow in reacting to inflation but the common people are struggling. Middle class Indians now are paying 60% of their earning to serve food on the table.

Left Parties today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and demanded immediate steps to check prices. Their mantra is the Chinese type artificial price control.
