Life in earth’s Arctic ice provide first clue to extraterrestrial life in Jupiter's ice-covered moon Europa
India Daily Technology Team
Apr. 24, 2008

The nepheloid layer in the aerth’s artic ice has the clouds of water-borne particles above the ocean floor as well as halophiles, tough, 'salt-loving'' microorganisms that thrive in superchilled liquid brine channels within the ice. Many scientists now believe the bacteria and viruses in these channels in the polar sea ice could provide clues about possible life on Jupiter's ice-covered moon Europa. Europa is a very promising situation because all the evidence points to an ocean under the ice cover and heat under the ocean. Many frozen planets and moons have the potential to sustain microscopic life. Ganymede and Callisto, two other moons of Jupiter, may also have liquid-water oceans under the ice crust at the surface.

The evolution of life is strange and unknown. It is possible that these microbes eventually evolves into potential intelligent life forms. The civilization in that case will be way out of norm in our standards. We may not even recognize these strange intelligent extraterrestrial civilization at the first glimpse. Never the less they are real. They exists and potentially they can be far more advanced than us.
