Taliban terror operators want India to quit Afghanistan. They sent their suicide bombers to blow up Indian road construction engineers. The engineers were on their way to a construction site when the suicide bombers struck in Herat

Two Indian engineers were killed and many wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a convoy of Indian road construction workers in south west Afghanistan.

"We will take necessary measures to safeguard security of Indians working in Afghanistan," Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters in Baharampore.

Mukherjee said the five persons injured in the attack would be brought back to India for treatment. "Despite the Taliban attack, India will remain firm on its stand and not succumb to the pressures of the militia," Mukherjee asserted.
