Obama’s pastor controversy – America learns the real essence of freedom and democracy ‘be able to self criticize instead of being labeled as non-patriotic’
Tarun Sikhdar
Mar. 28, 2008

The fact that Obama is again leading Hillary Clinton by 10% in national poll after the controversy of Obama’s past religious pastor is the first sign that America is finally becoming a real democracy from a pseudo oligarchy.

Obama may win or lose. But what has happened is the best for America and the world over the long term. A two party system is a form of oligarchy. In America in the last twenty-eight years it was ‘virtually illegal’ to talk against America. Any time you try to criticize American international or domestic policies, you were labeled as non-patriotic. Patriotism does not happen buying American flags from WalMart made in China by the abused helpless Chinese laborers.

The biggest freedom is the privilege to criticize someone’s own country when the Government takes the wrong side. The biggest freedom of speech is to be able to criticize the head of the state of your own country. What happened in American in the last twenty-eight years is a shame. They never stopped freedom of speech by forcing brutal force on someone except in extreme cases. But they created these right wing neo con surrogates that will lodge a character assassination scheme if you talk anything against the extreme right wing neo con agenda of American Administration. In the mean time the corporation and 100 or so rich families of America literally looted the wealth of the superpower. They control the politics, the supreme court and the religious centers.

They did not leave Obama and his pastor. But when the storm settles and the common people in America realizes how they have fooled by the oligarchs, every one will realize that it is fundamental freedom to be able to criticize one’s own country without being dumped in the bin by some serial character assassination sharp shooters.

What has happened is not only good for common American people but also the world. When the only super power in the world becomes free and open, the world prospers.
