Eliot Spitzer case points to a massive problem in the American and European culture – the safety net for young girls missing resulting in massive prostitution industry

Eliot Spitzer ended his political career with scandal that will be remembered for a long time. People are angry on him in United States and especially in NY. But this episode highlights a dark side of American and European culture.

Young girls in India or China are not ‘virtually forced’ to leave their parents when they are 20 years old or younger. In America it becomes a social shame to stay with parents. The young girls start their own life only to find it is easier to make money working with an escort agency than a real job.

The call girl market in the western nations including that in US strives. There are millions of Americans using these escort services daily and millions of girls working in these agencies. Most of these girls are helpless. No one helps them financially. They cannot go back to their parents because of social pressure.

Broken homes are common in western nations. In many cases these young girls do not have a clue who their father is.

It was interesting when Oprah asked a question to Aishwarya Rai, the bollywood actress from India and a former Miss World. Why Aishwarya lived with her mom and dad even at the age of thirty-four?

The answer lies in the outcome of Spitzer case. In India girls are never asked to leave their home directly or indirectly till they are married. It provides an economic safety net for Indian girls.

Take for example the case of Ashley Alexandra Dupre, the escort Governor Spitzer hired for sex. Miss Dupre has a tragic life. She was virtually thrown in the jungle of hounds at the age of 17. She dropped out from high school, tried to make it in the world of music, finally started working as a call girl in an escort agencies. She had a boy friend that lived with her and helped her pay the $3400 rent. But this guy left her in the cold after she came to know that this guy had children with many other women in the past. She became a call girl because she needed money. She could not go to anyone and beg for money!

There are millions of ‘Miss Dupre’s in United States. There are millions of ‘Eliot Spitzer’s in United States. These escort agencies are many in every city of United States. The epidemic of sex for money is so high that the Government overlooks most of the cases although it is officially illegal.

Conservative Americans fight for unborn babies. They hate abortion. But some of these same folks let their own daughters and sisters in the streets at the age of eighteen or twenty to be picked up by these escort agencies. The social pressure for girls to leave home no matter if they can afford the same is immense in western society.

Life needs to be respected all the time, not just at the birth.. Animals give birth and after a few months or years they forget about it.

Human civilization is based on family values and above all compassion and love for live. Young ladies need respect and economic safety net. Neither the feminists nor those in the religious right who oppose abortion address this issue.

Sadly, Indian girls have started becoming call girls while staying with their parents in India following the trend from the western easy way of making money. Escort agencies have popped up in India in hundreds. It is a challenge between materialism and spiritualism.
