Indo-US nuclear deal in its present form would surrender Indian sovereignty to the United States: BJP
Anil Rane
Mar. 8, 2008

Like Marxists, BJP has no anti-US policy. But BJP is a nationalistic party that is proud of India and Indian sovereignty. It understands the arms twisting tactics of US. But it also knows how to defy the superpowers threatening influence and maintain independence and freedom of India.

Unlike Left parties who are doing nothing, but merely threatening, BJP is constructive and forward looking. It is in favor of a nuke deal with many countries including USA as long as it is in accordance with mutual respect of each other’s sovereignty.

BJP made it very clear that even if India signs a nuke deal, when BJP comes to power the deal will be cancelled unilaterally by India. It will be regarded as a deal that was signed by a minority Government against the will of Indian people.
