It is an outright defeat for Musharraf and American right wing Republicans. Pakistani democracy is back. The days of using ‘fight against terror’ to scare are numbered. The ‘change’ is the new buzzword in the politics.
PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N's Nawaz Sharif has agreed to form a ‘National Consensus Government’ in Pakistan.
PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim has emerged as the frontrunner for the Prime Minister's post in the new coalition government in Pakistan as the two main opposition parties today worked for a power sharing formula.
Musharraf now hopes that this alliance will fail. His disciples in Pakistan are already upbeat about how this new coalition will fail. Pervez Musharraf’s PML(Q) said it doubted that the PPP-led new alliance would be stable calling it a "marriage of convenience."
