Making money at the cost of middle class Indian girls without adequate security is shameful. Native Indians forget money is not everything in life. Life is made of respect, and above all, dignity.

The apex court held Som Mittal liable for prosecution in the rape and murder of a Hewlett Packard employee, Pratibha Murthy, by a driver contracted by the company.

Indian Supreme Court finally pinned the organizations like Nasscom. Supreme Court on Thursday gave its nod to prosecute Nasscom chief Som Mittal.

It is win for the civilized free world where women are not used for money. Protecting helpless women at night is the duty of any civilized part of the world. It is also the duty of Indian money hungry BPO businesses.

According to media reports, Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan heard the case. According to sources, Mittal's plea was dismissed by the apex court, which ruled that company chiefs were responsible for employee security.

Mittal has been charged under Sections 25 and 30(3) of the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act 1961. The FIR lodged by the Karnataka Police accused him of violating an order of 2002, which seeks to regulate the employment of young men and women in night shifts.

Earlier, an appeal by Mittal, to quash the FIR had been rejected by both the Karnataka High Court and another bench of the apex court.
