Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and West Bengal can finally decide the fate of Sonia Gandhi

It may be the time for the Italian born Indian leader to reassess her performance in Indian politics. Congress Party, after losing state after state is finally focusing on three upcoming state and panchayat elections - Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and West Bengal.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi appointed Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz as the party chief in Jammu and Kashmir. Minister of State for Personnel Suresh Pachouri was appointed party head in Madhya Pradesh. Congress on Wednesday made P R Dasmunsi Union minister and a bitter opponent of the communists, its state unit chief in the Left-ruled West Bengal.

Das Munshi plans to forge ahead some solid alliances to combat the communists in the state.

All eyes are on Sonia Gandhi. Time may have come for her to relieve Congress party finally.
