Large contingents of EU observers are watching the Pakistani election. The officials in Musharraf Government are confident they can fool these Europeans. The EU observers are also ready to call the election rigged if they find any irregularities. The biggest question is –‘if they can find any problem.’ It is now the game of Musharraf the probable, well-trained election thief and EU the new cop in the block. Some in Pakistan believe it is just another trick of the west to keep Musharraf intact. Like the Scotland yard, these EU observers may prefer to authenticate Musharraf’s rigged election results.

According to The Washington Post, the "vast majority" -- 75 percent in Pakistan want President Pervez Musharraf to leave office, with his approval rating touching a new low of 15 percent. Fifty percent of Pakistanis said they would vote for the PPP, against 22 percent for the party of Sharif in the poll by the Washington-based institute.
