Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray's outburst against Biharis and Big B’s UP love creates tension in Indian ethos of spirituality
India must not do what people in US , Russia or Europe do. The hatred based on religion, caste and especially ethnicity is not something India cherishes. In America whites go after blacks, Hispanics vote against blacks, Christian right goes after non-Christians. Japan hates people of Chinese decent. Russian youth in Moscow these days bullies any non-Russian. The westerners kill people in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Islamists kill Indians, Israelis, Russians, American and Europeans. The list goes on and on.
But India is blessed with Hidutva. The main theme of Hindutva is based on integrated consciousness. It is finding oneself in others. Compassion, love, sacrifice and above all selflessness are the main theme of Indian culture.
Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray's outburst against Biharis and Big B’s UP love creates tension in Indian ethos of spirituality. It is something we can avoid. Shivaji of maharashtra fought tooth and nail against the ‘foreigner’ Mughals who raped mother India. He never preached to go after other Indians of different ethnicity and eliminate them.
It is time we embrace Hindutva and bring compassion and love to forefront. There is no difference between Maharashtrans, Biharis and people of Uttar Pradesh. All of us are Indians and above all humans. As this primitive human civilization matures, we will realize how stupid it is to hate others. We are all part of an integrated entity. We are all brothers and sisters of the same family. There is no divide between Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Jews. There is no divide between Indians and Americans. There is no divide between any human being from another human being.
It is time to embrace the humanity and say ‘Bande Ma Taram.’
