Can Ted Kennedy bring home Edward supporters to Obama camp?
Priya Sen
Jan. 30, 2008

What happens now that John Edward has decided to have Clinton and Obama fight it out in the arena of dirty politics? Political pundits are questioning who gets the boost from it? Hillary is already claiming a victory. Bill Clinton smells blood in capturing the white votes from John Edwards.

But there may be some surprises for the corrupt establishment of the Democratic party that is well primed and lubricated for the Clintons. The Edward folks may decide to go for Obama knowing very well that Hillary took money from special interest lobbyist even more than George bush.

Super Tuesday is a great test for America. How racial is America in 2008. That is what we will know in the evening of Feb 5. The traditional white Democrats – can they throw away their racial prejudices and vote for Obama and bring change in moral and political terms?

The hope of light is in Ted Kennedy again. But is that enough to bring justice and parity in the political environment of America?

The Edward supporters will make a big difference. If Obama can get 60% of these supporters he will be next nominee. But anything short of that throws Hillary into the ring against McCain. In that case the sensible democrats will have no choice but to vote for McCain and McCain may win more 60% of all votes. It can be a devastating defeat for the Democrats.
