India and China in deep freeze and heaviest snowfall – America in mild winter – effects of global warming?
Ron Gibson
Jan. 28, 2008

One of the major effects of global warming is the unpredictable change in climate pattern. This year America’s northeast and in general the whole country is experiencing mild winter compared to other years. But the story is entirely different in India and China. The Asian giants face chill in the stock markets and the weather patterns.

Northern India is under deep chill. The minimum temperature in New Delhi dipping to 2.3 degree Celsius, the second lowest recorded. India is not equipped to handle that kind of temperature. Indian capital has been experiencing intense cold for the past few days with the minimum and maximum temperatures plummeting many notches below normal.

New snowstorms in central and eastern China is putting further pressure on already strained transport, communications and power grids. China is under a massive snow storm season never seen before in recent history. Snow and ice have affected 67 million people in 14 provinces, state broadcaster CCTV said, citing Civil Affairs Ministry figures. Total economic losses reached 18.2 billion yuan (US$2.5 billion; euro1.7 billion), the ministry said.

At the same time crude oil price falling in the world market because of mild US winter.

The effects of global warming is clear. The weather pattern have become extremely unpredictable and extreme.
