Can India without Ganguly and Dravid in ODI against Aussies?
Sushmita Phadke
Jan. 20, 2008

India made a big gamble. The selectors have given a free hand to Dhoni and company to play an unconventional cricket against the Aussies and teach them a solid lesson in their own turf.

The gamble is wild. They have dropped previous skippers Dravid and Ganguly to give young rejuvenated Indian cricket a solid chance to take against the Goliath Ponting and company.

The BCCI will watch the outcome closely. Sometimes it may worthwhile to gamble when odds are against you. Sudden change of course and decision can perplex the adversary and bring win.

Rumors are rampant that Dhoni wanted a fresh team without any ‘attitudes’ of the previous skippers. That may actually work as ODI is more of a team game than individual accomplishments.

Can India really win without Ganguly and Dravid? The whole world will watch the two best sides of the world in ‘condensed’ limited time cricket.
