Bird Flu in West Bengal spreading fast and becoming a major epidemic

Official sources in India finally agreed to the fact there is ‘Bird Flu’ in two districts of West Bengal. High Security Animal Disease Laboratory (HSADL) in Bhopal confirmed the virus.

The Health Ministry had on Monday dispatched a team from the National Institute of Communicable Diseases to contain the spread of the disease. Local residents were complaining of a probable epidemic for a long time but the state officials did not care.

According local sources in West Bengal, the bird flu is spreading fast in West Bengal. It came from Bangladesh. The prices of poultry products have fallen sharply in the region. As a result the countryside residents are eager to grab the poultry. That is creating a possible epidemic as the virus spreads fast and can affect the human beings.
