How money hungry lazy communists in West Bengal finally embraced slavery under raw capitalism – veteran communist Jyoti Basu the new capitalist leader of India?
Sudhir chadda
Jan. 5, 2008

It was interesting to watch veteran Marxists of India like Jyoti Basu finally confess they need money and are ready to be the slaves of capitalism. Basu said, "we want capital, both foreign and domestic. After all we are working in a capitalist system. Socialism is not possible now."

We never thought we will live to see and hear what is happening. The Marxists who preached laziness and incompetence for forty five years in West Bengal are now crushed for ever. The Mafia style operation still keeps them in power. But they are for sell. Dollars and Euros can buy them in open market. They are now eager to follow the Chinese model of ‘sucking the capitalist blood while maintaining status quo’ in India.

These Marxists were wrong forty-five years back. They are wrong now. The secret mantra to success in every society is hard work and the appetite to take risk for reward. That is what capitalism in free world stands for. Marxists like Jyoti Basu must understand that ‘a job is the biggest welfare.’ And to ask a worker not to work is an outright sin because it entails cheating in classical sense.

What happened in West Bengal in the last forty years in a shame. The state experienced Indian oligarchs from Rajasthan and Gujarat dominate the industry. They are excellent in managing the communists and their trade unions with money and other means. The rest of the honest component of businesses left the state. It is common in West Bengal that there are no decent jobs for the Bengali youth in their own state. Most of travel abroad or to Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad or Pune for jobs.

These communists in eighties and nineties drawn in numerous Indian expatriates of Bengali decent in eighties and nineties for their money and capital. Most of them lost every penny they invested in this black hole of corruption, incompetence and mafia style control of police, media, judges and the community in general.

These Marxists need money. They need capital to squander and distribute among its cadres. They cannot print money because that power is in the hands of Congress Party in new Delhi.
