A dangerous trend – Iraqi insurgents and Al_Queda may have infiltrated heavily into Iraqi military and security infrastructure to fight from ‘within’

The December 26 incident is not an isolated one. There are growing indication that Iraqi insurgents as well as Al-Queda may have planted their sleeping cells in the Iraqi military and the security infrastructure.
"For reasons that are as yet unknown, at least one Iraqi Army soldier allegedly opened fire killing Capt. Rowdy Inman and Sgt. Benjamin Portell, both of whom were assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment," the US military said in a statement released Saturday.
Two U.S. soldiers who died last month in Iraq were apparently shot to death by an Iraqi soldier during a combined U.S. and Iraqi Army operation.
What is more disturbing for the coalition forces is that the infiltration within the Iraqi police force may be more. The implanted sleeping cell members of the insurgents and Al-Queda are gathering intelligence and can strike from ‘within’ at anytime and anywhere.
In US some politicians are ecstatic that the surge is working. But in reality the Iraqi resistence movement as well as the terror outfit of Osam Bin Laden may have shifted focus. They are not looking at fighting the coalition forces overtly. They may have taken covert path.
The roadside bombs are also becoming strangely intelligent targeting Iraqi civilians that are sympathetic to the coalition forces.
