Kenyans burning down Gujrati businesses

There has been massive damage to property and businesses owned by Indians, particularly Gujaratis ever since post-election riots broke out in Kenya. The Indian business community is primarily made of Gujaratis. This community is under vicious attacks in Kenya.

In the small town of Kisumu near Nairobi, almost three out of every four businesses owned by Indians have been burnt down, residents said. Many Indians have been holed up in temples for the past two days and are gradually running out of food.

The massacre is even more profound in other areas. Most towns have come to a standstill. Supermarkets and shops are charred beyond recognition. Most Gujaratis are staying in the Swaminarayan temple in Kisumu. Some ventured out to take stock of the situation on Tuesday. Almost three-fourths of Indian businesses have incurred huge losses.

The ethnic violence against Indians is increasing in every part of the world because Indians perform better, save, and put more emphasis on education.
