The Chinese hackers are eager to hack into the defense backbone of US and other countries. They created a major cyber infiltration into US Defense systems. They targeted the countries that use US network equipments from 3Com and others. Some international think tanks believe, Chinese Government cyber spies and hackers need 3Com internals to create hackers backbone.

Interestingly, US private equity firm Bain Capital wants to buy 3Com. More interestingly they have teamed up with Chinese telecom equipment maker, Huawei Technologies. US lawmakers point out to ‘stealth attack’ on US defense infrastructure.

Bain has strongly rebuffed claims that the deal endangers US national security. But Bain’s close association with China is close suspect. Is China using Bain to infiltrate into US defense infrastructure?

The 3Com know-how will also help Chinese cyber spies to release ‘Agent Technologies’ into defense infrastructure of US and many other countries. According to some media reports and internal sources, Bain could be forced to commit publicly to a divestment of TippingPoint, the 3Com division that deals with the US military, or Cfius could recommend that Huawei reduce its proposed stake.
