Kamalesh Sharma's election as Commonwealth Secretary General and India's first significant diplomatic coup in shaping this century's international foreign policy architecture. India is now in a very advantageous situation. Mr. Sharma is now going to lead and represent the 53 nation commonwealth.
New Delhi has already taken a decision and Sharma is likely to carry on with his high-profile role representing ''India Poised'' for only a couple more months.
All eyes are on India. Can India emerge as the regional superpower leading the commonwealth and Non aligned Movement (NAM) nations?
