Bush imposes new sanctions on Mayanmar but military action needed led by China and India
Tania Malhotra
Oct. 20, 2007
Bush imposed more sanctions on Mayanmar’s brutal regime. He called on the ruthless killers to stop killing monks and common people of Matanmar. Additional junta members are now going to get their assets frozen.
But that will have little effect on the junta in Mayanmar. They can blink but they will not move. The reason is simple. They know China and India are interested in the natural gas of Mayanmar. As a result the two Governments do not want to antagonize the brutal junta.
It is time for action from UN Security Council. It is time for Indian and Chinese Army to March into Yangoon and bring freedom back to Mayanmar. If China does not participate, Inda can look towards the Security Council.
US President George Bush understands what this junta is doing in Mayanmar. But time is short. Innocent people are getting killed everyday. Military action is urged immediately.
