After a total snub form Putin on arms race Rice criticizes Putin's concentration of power

Every one knows that Russia is not a democracy. There is nothing new about it. Oligarchs who have kept the quasi-soviet regime figures around and are running the country from behind control it. Is that any different in America, China, or India?

No, it is not any different at all. In America, there are two main parties. Both are driven by special interest money in the form of political contributions. Every one knows that the American oligarchs use the ‘politicians’ and run the country. There is no way a third party can be formed so easily. You need millions of signatures and a big bankroll to get anything started. Fact of the matter is the country is kept under the current system under three branches of Government, the executive, the legislative and the judicial. Each of these is well manipulated by the oligarchs and controlled to deliver what they want. Think about this: there are three major front-runners in Democratic Party – Clinton, Obama, and Edwards.

An overwhelming majority of the American people wants American troops to come home. All these there were asked ‘How soon will you bring American troops back from Iraq?’ Guess what the answers were? None of them agreed to bring them back 100% during their first four years of tenure. Ask yourself why? The reason is simple. In order to win the election they need money and that primarily comes from American oligarchs through hedge funds and other major contributors to political funds. American politicians are allowed to go right or left of the center to some extent. The American oligarchs define that center. Bill Clinton was in the left. George Bush is in the right. Neither of them stopped NAFTA or similar agreements. Neither of them did much to curb illegal immigration that helps the American oligarchs.

In China, the situation is no different. One hundred families control the country. In India, close 110 families and Industrial oligarchs control all politicians – even so called ‘Indian communists’. After a total snub form Putin on Arms race, Rice criticized Putin's concentration of power. "In any country, if you don''t have countervailing institutions, the power of any one president is problematic for democratic development," Rice told reporters. Her concerns were on human rights violation in Russia. That is good. But what about the Gotbaum case in America? Was it fair to allow what happened in Phoenix airport?

No one is defending Russian political system. It is a joke during the Soviet era and even now. But diplomacy does not call for criticizing other country’s political systems while your own is not much different either.
